New appointments

Dr. Nojin Kwak has been named vice provost for international education at the University at Buffalo.

Dr. Moon Lee, formerly an associate professor at the University of Florida, joined Syracuse University as the new Public Relations Department Chair.

Dr. Dal Yong Jin leads “The Transnational Culture and Digital Technology Lab” starting in fall 2021 at Simon Fraser University.

Dr. Jiyoun Suk joined the University of Connecticut as an assistant professor.

Dr. Youjeong Kim, formerly an associate professor at the New York Institute of Technology, joined the Texas State University as an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

New books

Dr. David Oh (Ramapo College of New Jersey) will publish a book titled “Whitewashing the Movies: White Subjectivity and Asian Erasure in U.S. Film Culture”, (November 2021, Rutgers University Press).
