The Graduate School of Future Strategy at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) invites applications for faculty positions at Assistant and Associate levels in the areas related with science journalism (e.g., social media and communications, and media/industry strategy) and intellectual property management (e.g., technology & law, innovation/IP strategy).

We seek for applicants who are enthusiastic about working in KAIST’s evolving multidisciplinary environment. Successful candidates should have outstanding research accomplishments and will be expected to pursue innovative and independent research in one or several substantive areas noted above. KAIST has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of diversity among its faculty, staff, and students. Persons of all race, nationality, and background will be considered.

The Graduate School of Future Strategy was established in 2013 to pursue excellence in interdisciplinary research and educations in future strategy. The School was recently donated $25–million gifts from the Jung Moon Soul foundation to support research and education in future strategy. Teaching and other conditions:

Tenured track faculty is expected to teach between two and three courses per year depending on research productivity and area. Teaching responsibilities will include both graduate and undergraduate courses. Seed money for junior faculty research is high compared to other leading schools of U.S.. Salary will be also commensurate to U.S. schools, including other benefits such as housing.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or should be expecting to achieve one by August, 2019.
