Call for Editor
Korean Journal of Communication (KJOC)
The Korean American Communication Association (KACA) seeks an editor for the organization’s inaugural journal, Korean Journal of Communication.
The new journal’s scope encompasses communication and media research related to Korea and/or its related issues. All communication research topics about Korea (South and North) will be considered for review.
Korean Journal of Communication will publish scholarly work that analyzes the complexities and offers resolutions about Korea, Asia, and the globe from the communication perspectives. The journal will also be a venue for the constructive academic relationship among Korea, Asia, and global communication associations, including AEJMC, ICA, IAMCR, NCA and other communication organizations.
The new editor will closely work with the KACA.
Eligibility of Nominee
The nominee shall be a tenured faculty member of the communication-related department at a university in the U.S. when the nomination is submitted.

1. Statement of Purpose: A brief one-page (single spaced) description of candidate’s credentials and plans.

Self-nomination, as well as nominations by others, are welcome. The nomination will be accepted until 5 PM on May 14, 2021 (ET).

2. Review of the candidates
As the committee receives applications, all nominated candidates will be requested to provide the required materials–(1) Statement of Purpose: A brief one-page (single-spaced) description of candidate’s credentials and plans, and (2) Curriculum Vitae.
3. The final appointment of the editor will be announced during KACA’s business meeting at the AEJMC’s annual convention in 2021.
